Creative Writing Program

Creative writing at Illinois State University offers both undergraduate and graduate courses taught by nationally recognized writers including poet Gabriel Gudding, fiction writers Ricardo Cortez Cruz and Curtis White and creative nonfiction writer Kass Fleisher.

The Creative Writing Program is also the home of FC2/Black Ice Books, Context, The Spoon River Poetry Review, and Mandorla. In addition, Milner Library houses the Illinois Literary Small Press Collection in Special Collections on the 6th floor.
