Graduate Certificate in TESOL

The Master's in English at ISU serves key needs of students seeking education beyond the bachelor's degree. The Master's in English features specializations in literature, creative writing, English Studies, TESOL, children's literature, and secondary teaching. Graduates frequently continue in doctoral programs.

Regardless of specialization, the Master's in English degree requires eleven courses and comprehensive examinations, which are generally taken in a student's last semester. ENG 401, Introduction to Graduate Study, is required for all degree plans in the Master's in English program.

Students can enroll in the Master's in English either full-time or part-time. The majority of graduate offerings are taught in the evening.
