The IATE serves professional teachers of English throughout the State of Illinois through a variety of activities and publications. In addition to the annual fall conference, IATE members partake in local activities throughout the year and participate on standing committees that promote the interests of the IATE and its 1500 members.
Arranged by districts across the state, the IATE provides a lively network for the exchange of teaching tips, current research, and professional development--as well as enduring friendships.
