Literary and Cultural Studies -Graduate
The Master's in English allows students to concentrate in any
one of a number of specializations areas, including Literary and Cultural Studies. Students
who wish to write a master's thesis are encouraged to do so. Thesis
hours count as four hours of course work.
Degree requirements for the Master's in English (emphasis in Literary
and Cultural Studies):
- English 401 Introduction to Graduate Studies
- English 402 Introduction to the Composing Process (required for students teaching composition)
- Three courses in Literature before 1800
- Three courses in Literature after 1800
- Four elective courses
