Digital Reserve Readings

The English Department maintains pdf versions of reserve readings for selected English courses. To use this reserve, you must be on campus or connected to campus via the University's VPN client. You can download the VPN client here. You can also get help with installing and using the VPN client at the University Help Desk.

You use this reserve to download readings that have been scanned to pdf. You can then read on your own computer or print the file.

The web address for our digital reserve site is http://www.english.ilstu.edu/reserve/files.

If you do not see your teacher's name in the reserve reading list of folders, your teacher may be using a CAS public folder instead of this system to share readings. Contact your teacher for more information.

If a reserve file opens but the contents appear blank, you will need to update your version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

If the contents appear on the screen but the document will not print, you will need to print the PDF file as an image. To print a PDF as an image: choose File > Print, click Advanced, select Print As Image, click OK to close the Advanced Print Setup dialog box, and then click Print.
