The English Commons is a Sharepoint-based intranet for the faculty, staff, and graduate student of the English department. We principally use this site for department committee work: to share draft documents, and to archive department forms.

Our Sharepoint installation was updated to version 3 in December of 2006. As a result of this change, some faculty have experienced difficulty connecting to the commons from Internet Explorer. The easiest way to solve this problem is to use a different browser such as Firefox or Safari. If using a different browser does not work, please file a help ticket at http://help.cas.ilstu.edu

If you are connecting from off campus, you may be asked for a domain name when you log in. If so, the correct domain is "ADILSTU".

Irene maintains an archive of all committee minutes from various committee meetings.

A page with links to all of the committees and other subwebs on the site.
Document Discussions
When we are working on an important document, we create a separate space with a copy of that document and a dicussion board for comments.
