Teaching of Writing Sequence

Teaching of writing is a concentration within the master's in writing. In this sequence, courses will be selected with the assistance of an adviser to provide an emphasis in community college teaching, Teaching English as a Second Language.

Community College Teaching

Students enrolled in the Community College Teaching emhasis of the Teaching of Writing sequence learn to problematize the issues related specifically to teaching at the community college level. Students have the opportunity to learn about writing processes, assessment, and engaging critical thinking.
