English majors at Illinois State are based on the English Studies model, which means that the various aspects of English Studies, broadly grouped under language, literature, and rhetoric, operate together intellectually, theoretically, and programmatically.
The English major confers a B.A. degree and can be focused in three sequences or areas of concentration:
