Collaborative Paper Proposal:

Your paper proposal should cover the following:

Topic: A one to two paragraph description of the topic that your group has chosen. In these paragraphs you should discuss why you chose this topic and give detailed information about what you intend to to pursue.

Audience: A one to two paragraph description of what audience your group has decided to write to, why you selected this audience, what other possible audiences that you considered, and why you feel that yours is the best choice.

Purpose: What is your group hoping to accomplish with this piece of writing? Why do you feel that this is important? Where could your work be published?

Field (Primary) Research: What types of field research are you going to do? Which people are you going to approach? Why have you made these choices? What do you hope to learn? How will this research strengthen your essay? Include a copy of your survey(s) or your plans for carrying our observations or interviews.

Published Research: What published research are you going to be looking for? Why? What are some possible sources? How will this research straighten your essay?
