About Language and Composition Instructors

Instructors for Language and Composition are trained to teach writing at the college level. All English 101 instructors are writers themselves, and have served an apprenticeship to become expert teachers of writing. The course adheres to a standard syllabus that may vary from teacher to teacher for specific assignments and activities. All English 101 students will do the same amount of writing, revising, research, and will write final extensive analytical essay at the end of the course.
