Information About A Rhetorical Purpose
A desired result statement:
- specifically identifies the intended audience of the paper
- specifically identifies what new behavior the writer wants members of that audience to perform,
- Or what existing behavior the writer wants members of the audience to continue
Example
"I want male ISU students who are between the ages of 18 and 22 to vote in the next local election as a direct result of reading my paper."
